I had an antique banjo that needed repair so Frank did the evaluation and did the repair himself due to how fragile it was. He was interesting, funny and did a great job. Frank will be missed.

Until that video, I had never seen a person so young play this old time music with such authenticity and finesse. She is well deserving of all the acclaim and accolades and recognition she is now receiving. Congratulations to Muireann!

His performances (first year was mostly songs from “Land of Enchantment”, second years was from “Replay”) were astonishing. What a great experience for the young students attending. I also briefly chatted with Michael both years – he was a kind, very interesting person. His passing is such a loss to us all.

Comment on Venerable NYC Mandolin Brothers Guitar Shop Up for Sale by Peter Bex https://acousticguitar.com/venerable-mandolin-brothers-guitar-shop-up-for-sale/#comment-2486 Mon, 08 Jan 2024 20:19:21 +0000 http://acousticguitar.stringlettermusic.com/?p=1474#comment-2486 Sad story. I bought two guitars (and a T-shirt) from Mandolin Bros. Two Martin OM-36. Beautiful guitars/cases and excellent shipping. I’ll miss the shop but still wear the T-shirt proudly.
